Ann Dorough, CAE, is Director of Component Development at the American Institute of Architects, where she works to develop the capabilities of AIA’s domestic chapters. She created and runs the AIA’s component accreditation system, ensuring consistent member service and resource allocation across the network worldwide. Previously she served as executive director of a local chapter of the Institute, AIA Potomac Valley, and the Potomac Valley Architecture Foundation. She is a former journalist and Congressional legislative staffer and has served 15 years on community boards and foundations.
